DESIGNING A SOLAR PROJECT WITH THE COMMUNITY IN MIND
Kingwood Solar is a proposed 175-megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar project planned for Xenia, Cedarville, and Miami Townships in Greene County, Ohio. The project will be located on approximately 750 acres of private, leased land. The Kingwood Solar team is working hard to be an active community partner, listening to concerns, and building a project that local residents and the Buckeye State can be proud of for years to come.
Project Status
In 2022, the Kingwood Solar Project was denied by the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB), despite fulfilling all the technical requirements for permit approval. The Project is appealing the OPSB’s decision and a decision is expected by the end of 2025. Meanwhile, we remain committed to investing in Greene County and working with the community and local governments to advance this important project
Our doors are open as we continue to listen to residents’ questions and concerns. This project is designed for the long term, and we want it to be one that reflects the community’s values.
